Employment and Training


This division assists individuals from Essex & Hudson Counties with adult education, employment and training. Great emphasis is placed on matching individuals with the right training, education and employment positions. FOCUS refers individuals who are prepared to enter the employment market to businesses and organizations located in northern New Jersey. Facilitators prepare clients for entry-level positions through education, job preparedness and individual counseling .Referrals are made in correspondence with the individual’s educational background, work experience, technical skills and personal desire to work.  A series of support services are provided to individuals with severe problems during the first stage of their employment experiences. Follow-up services are also in place to assess the success of individuals placed into new jobs.
